<div><strong>New Format for Drop-In Lessons Starts NOW!</strong></div>
<div>This change will start Sunday, April, 22nd! Please help us get the word out so we can start the lessons on time and get an accurate picture of how everyone will respond to this new structure.</div>
<div>
<div>
<div><strong>7:00 PM &#8220;Intermediate&#8221; Swing:</strong></div>
<div>In this class, we will teach a different lesson each week for a month and then repeat those lessons each month.  We think it sounds great on paper so we want to see how you all like this! There will likely be some nights that are &#8220;Instructor&#8217;s Choice&#8221; lessons for when we have a guest instructor from out of town. To participate in the &#8220;Intermediate&#8221; lesson, you will be expected to know an East Coast/6-Count Swing basic, a tuck turn and an inside turn from open position to closed position. We will build on these skills and not teach them in this class so we highly recommend that you take the Beginning Swing lesson at 7:00 PM for a month or so before attending this class, if you don&#8217;t know these foundational basics. Once we get most of the kinks worked out of this new system, we will update the calendar on www.StumptownDance.com and the StumptownDance FB page&#8217;s wall with what lessons are happening each week.</div>
<div>
<div><strong>7:30 PM Beginning Swing:</strong></div>
<div>Every week will be the same lesson in this level so you will always know what to expect. We will teach a simple East Coast/6-Count Swing basic, a tuck turn and an inside turn from open position to closed position and we&#8217;ll throw in a few tips on how to succeed at dancing socially. If you are a person who can participate at the &#8220;Intermediate&#8221; level, feel welcome to jump in on this lesson to help with the flow of things. We don&#8217;t want a bunch of people &#8220;teaching&#8221; during the lesson because that could be distracting but your presence in the rotation to give brand new dancers some encouragement could only be a good thing for everyone.</div>
</div>
<div>
<div><strong>Monday Guided Swing Practicum with Mindy Hazeltine!</strong></div>
<div>Mindy hosts a guided swing practica, where you can receive individual attention as well as have time to incorporate the things you are working on into your social dancing. Mindy is available to help!! On the social dance floor, instruction/feedback is generally considered impolite. The friendly, safe atmosphere of the practica, provides an opportunity for you to ask for those little bits of feedback that can really make the difference in your total dancing experience. All ages! No partner needed! All levels welcome! See more info below.</div>
